“ Hattie B's didn't invent hot chicken, but they were probably the first to bring it out of Nashville in an authentic way (I'm looking at you, KFC) and I'm happy to see them opening new locations around the country. Thanks for coming to Dallas! Great food and great atmosphere. ”
“ The service was friendly. The restaurant was clean on the inside. The only downfall I would say is that the lemonade was out and that's what I wanted the most. Everything on the menu was bomb. The spice level "hot" wasn't enough to get me stressed out or sweating. When I come back, I'll go hotter ”
“ The food was good, the service was great! This was a fun place to eat on my first day in Dallas, Texas! I tried the hot chicken. I wasn't impressed with the seasoning but the chicken was hot and amazing! Next time I'm gonna have the plain cuz it was really good without any of the extra flavors! Even my service dog was digging in on his chicken tenders! He was not trying to share with his mommy!!! The ambiance is laid back! The place is clean and noisy! It was great after a long flight to sit and laugh with friends and family. The old have a "coke and a smile" type of chicken joint where you get fat, full, and happy! The service was down home Southern wonderful. People were friendly and attentive. When I needed to exchange my desserts there was no problem. When I needed a take out container, I was automatically offered a bag too. Drinks are self serve. Music is happy and upbeat. The cashier was a delight and helpful to visitors from out of town. The banana pudding was definitely made by MY mama -- y'all let her come home now!! We just loved our first meal in Dallas! ”
“ First time trying Hattie's.. It's a great tasting sandwich. I was in the area doing some cycling and decided to give it a try. The guys at the register was great and recommended me the sandwich. The place it's self is great overall, they play great music and have a great patio for the summer.. I'll definitely come back to try their tenders.. ”
“ I found myself slightly buzzed and hungry wandering the streets on Deep Ellum when the smell and thought of chicken consumed me. I walked in and was quickly greeted by a friendly staff person at the register. I think she could tell I was enjoying the local bars in the area and very kindly offered to help me order. I asked her to order me whatever food and beer she liked. She already knew what to get and she confirmed, multiple times, that I could handle spicy food. I'm glad she warned me because I got the Damn Hot strip meal and it was DAMN HOT.. but oh so good. They came to check on me a few times and offered some honey to drizzle on top - which I had never thought to do before, but I'm so glad I did. Not only did the honey cut down the heat a bit, it added a nice sweetness to the end that complemented the crispy, smokey, heat. The chicken was crispy, juicy, and well cooked. I was so full from the chicken and the local IPA that I couldn't eat the fries, but I did sample them and they were good, and cooked well. It also came with a potato salad which was really refreshing after putting my mouth through a little sadistic torture. It was creamy and seasoned well.. so don't miss out on the potato salad! Lesson Here: Listen to the locals, and be ready to sweat a bit over the Damn Hot - but don't let it scare you. It was worth every bite! ”
“ Hey Yelpers. Yes. The weather called me to bend the block again. This time, the big D. Deep Ellum weekdays are far less crowded. Get parked, stroll like nobody's business. Found Hattie Bs Hot Chicken. Step in to be met by a very pleasant greeting. Ordered up a small dark plate. Thigh quarter, fries, mac n cheese. Being a first timer, they tossed in a complimentary soda. Nice nice. Order came out piping hot. Yes, it's as good and crunchy as the picture. The chicken was uber jooocey. I added some Louisiana hot sauce just because I am from Mississippi, and we're Louisiana adjacent. I grew up on the sauce. The music is good. The spot is super clean. It's one of the nicest chicken spots I've ever had the pleasure of grubbing on bird in. Had to drive an hour in traffic to get here. Was more than worth making my go to chicken spot in Dallas from here onward. As always, hope you're loving yourself as much as you can imagine life to be. Love your loved ones twice as much as you did yesterday. Take care. Be well. If you hit the D. Check out Hattie Bs. ”
“ Still good and juicy! Big tenders! My burger today was not as big. I got the "hot" chicken sandwich. It's got good heat. Fiancé got the mild tenders and it looked more like medium. It had a good kick to it. We'll prob stick to the No heat next time for him. The potato salad is the best. I ordered two comeback sauce and paid extra for it. They gave me ranch and honey mustard tho. They left out the comeback. It seems every time we have Hattie. Our order is wrong somehow. ”
“ Anything above a medium is a waste of time because I know Mild has no flavor. I got the medium spice chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwhich was good! Spice level was perfect, chicken breast biiiiiig and juicy. Fries were crispy and seasoned My complaint! Allllll their dipping sauces are watery as crap! I mean so watery the sauce wasn't really sticking, more so sliding off. The weirdest thing and also, are yall trying to save money? ”
